Doejo is an innovation firm that has a strong design and development backbone. Below is our recent interview with Philip Tadros, the Founder and CEO at Doejo:
Q: Could you provide our readers with a brief introduction to Doejo?
A: We have built physical products, spaces, brands and in the digital world, we have built everything from Mass Traffic Publication work with WordPress to award winning iOS and Android applications and custom Ruby on Rails development launching hundreds of successful companies over the past 12 years. We are design thinking business people who build quality solutions efficiently. All word of mouth organic growth, local and international clients from Fortune 500 to scrappy start ups. We launch amazing solutions for our clients.
Q: Philip, tell us more about your background. What were you doing before Doejo?
A: Doejo organically grew out of my coffee shop dollop coffee. I was looking to build my own web product and being frustrated with the inefficiencies of the talent I hired I continued to learn and challenge myself to find the best. Customers began to take notice, our work was taken very seriously and we took on many great VC’s and Companies organically from the humble beginnings of working out of my apartment above my cafe to having a project / team based talent pool around the world.
Q: As a successful entrepreneur what are the biggest lessons you’ve learnt so far?
A: Say no, don’t take on projects that have red flags of someone being a bad client. Also don’t take on partners that are not the right fit. Grow slowly, organically and most importantly, enjoy what you have. Having more isn’t better, appreciating what you have is success.
Q: What makes you stand out from your competition?
A: We understand business. We are very efficient, we are considered a special ops team to get in and knock it out with the best practices and solution standards. We do not drag things out like other agencies and we do not outsource. Everyone is proven and vetted.
Q: What can we expect from Doejo in the future?
A: Doejo is going to continue to grow in Chicago and in other markets like New York and Los Angeles, but really we are more focused on being a distributed team that can efficiently problem solve for anyone, anywhere. It’s a digital world and we strive to help companies stay relevant and hopefully profitable. So, more of the same, just agile and wiser.
