KaiNexus is a Continuous Improvement software solution. Below is our recent interview with Dr. Gregory Jacobson, CEO & Co-Founder of KaiNexus:
Q: Could you provide our readers with a brief introduction to KaiNexus?
A: We believe every organization can improve itself by leveraging every employee every day in improvement. Our role is to use our software to increase visibility and collaboration within Lean organizations to help them spread a sustainable culture of continuous improvement.
For example, one customer required every manager to submit two opportunities for improvement into KaiNexus. They worked on those improvements over the next three months using KaiNexus to track all the activity and impact. Most impressively, they taught 75+ managers how to do continuous improvement – and at the same time realized nearly a million dollars in savings within KaiNexus. Talk about ROI.
It is our mission to use our technology and experience to truly make improvement happen, and we now support many thousands of people across multiple industries, including Healthcare, Manufacturing, Logistics, Professional Services, and Food and Beverage.
Q: How exactly do you spread improvement?
A: In order to spread a culture of continuous improvement, every person in the organization needs to be able to 1) know what’s going on, and 2) work efficiently with other people.

Our customers create teams in KaiNexus that work on various initiatives and projects, tracking communications, KPIs, and results in a single location that is accessible from anywhere. Improvement becomes much easier when teams are able to share their work and engage others, so the entire organization works together more efficiently.
KaiNexus also provides real-time reports that detail activity, engagement, and impact metrics at all levels of the organization, as well as customizable dashboards that make the relevant information available to all parties, no matter where they are. This makes coaching improvement easier and lets you communicate results to executives so they know the impact you’re making.
Q: Can you give us insights into your features?
A: KaiNexus’ features are built with collaboration and visibility in mind. To improve visibility, we have detailed activity, engagement, and impact reports that drill down into every level of the organization. Custom dashboards provide visual management and organization, showing the right information to the right people at the right time.
To improve collaboration, customers create custom templates for all types of improvement work. Teams work together on these initiatives, updating charts with key data, leaving comments to log communication in a single location, and checking on an auto-generated activity log. The dashboards give teams and improvement leaders across the organization access to the same information from anywhere, ensuring efficiency and proper prioritization. I’m extrememly proud of the features we’ve built, but I keep feeling like the best is yet to come. The most important thing we do is develop close relationships with our customers so they can tell us what to build next. It’s amazing what ideas customers can come up with if you just ask.
