Q: You’ve recently participated at the 5th annual economic times supply chain management and logistics summit 2018 at New Delhi, India; could you tell us something more?

A: Yes, it was a great event focused on supply chain and logistics where we were able to showcase our cutting edge AI powered solutions for integrated business planning. o9 was the AI partner and hosted a breakout session at the event which was attended by over 200+ senior executives from 150+ companies across multiple industries. The event was also attended by Sr Government officials like Mr Suresh Prabhu – Minister of Commerce, Industry and Civil Aviation.

o9’s breakout session titled “Solving the FMCG & Pharma Supply Chain” was led by Anusha Sharma (India Managing Director?) who was joined on the panel by senior executives from Patanjali, Johnson & Johnson, Emami AgroTech & Price Waterhouse Coopers. In an engaging discussion, the panel provided insights into how latest technologies & algorithms are helping solve supply chain problems in the FMCG and Pharma industries faster than ever before.

Q: What is the case for digital transformation of planning and operations?

A: While o9 was conceived by founders Sanjiv Sidhu and Chakri Gottemukkala in 2009, the journey started much before. It started in the late 1980s when Sanjiv came out of the Artificial Intelligence labs of Texas Instruments and founded i2 along with Ken Sharma, a thought leader in constraint based planning. i2 pioneered game-changing planning and supply chain management software that drove billions in value for large manufacturers and retailers across all industry segments. When i2 was acquired in 2008, Sanjiv and Chakri, a key contributor in the i2 journey got together as they felt there was huge value to be delivered in making corporations more agile by helping management make faster, more intelligent decisions in the face of growing market complexity and speed. Furthermore, they saw that new advances in digital technologies make amazing things possible. And hence o9 was born, bringing some of the world’s best technologists and industry experts on the mission to create the most value generating enterprise software platform ever.

Q: What makes your solutions unique?

We are built from the bottom up with the latest technology – such as graph-based enterprise modeling, big data and AI analytics, advanced algorithms for scenario planning, collaborative portals, easy-to-use interfaces and cloud-based delivery. Due to our technology advantage and our deep domain expertise, we’re seeing our deployments deliver twice the value in half the time that it takes our competitors– which is what’s drawing customers like Walmart, Bridgestone and Caterpillar to o9.

Q: What can we expect from o9 in the future?
