Below is our recent interview with Jenny Rodgers, Founding Partner at Success Empowerment:

Q: For those who haven’t heard of it, what is the best way to describe Success Empowerment Strategies?

A: Success Empowerment offers tools for leaders to help them achieve their success – we know leadership is rewarding, but can also be challenging and we apply our expertise & experience to help people navigate the challenges so they can achieve the success they seek. We design coaching, training, courses & resources to address leadership challenges as well as educate people how to practically integrate solutions & strategies into their unique environments. Our offerings are available in both English and Spanish.

Q: What makes leadership so challenging?

A: Several things make leadership challenging – dealing with different types of people is one thing that can be challenging, so we have to learn to be adaptable to different needs. Responding to issues around limited resources – not having enough time, people or money – is challenging, so we need to learn how to be flexible. Managing conflict can be very challenging, we advise to embrace conflicts and disagreements and move through them, rather than avoid them. This can be uncomfortable but we need to expand our comfort zones if we want to grow.

Q: Who are your clients and what are some of the key challenges you’re helping them solve?

A: Our clients are leaders in organizations who have developed the technical expertise to lead their teams by example, but don’t yet have the communication and leadership skills to influence their teams to follow them & manage conflicts effectively. Our clients are also entrepreneurs & small business owners who are experts in their own field, but as their business grows they need to empower others to help lead the business – which can be difficult, especially when time away from the business for training is inconvient. We integrate our offerings into the business so that people can learn and apply the skills in their ‘live’ environment.

Q: What’s the best leadership advice you can give to our readers?

A: We are often asked “what is the best leadership strategy?” There is no one best leadership strategy – good leaders leverage their own unique value and style while employing foundational skills – without the skills and the effective application, leaders will always struggle.
