Below is our recent interview with Lisa Lambert, CEO of ClimateCase:
Q: Could you provide our readers with a brief introduction to ClimateCase?
A: The ClimateCase prevents your phone from overheating, it keeps it from freezing, it restores an already hot or cold phone to normal temperature in less than a minute, and it’s designed to be used with headphones or a Bluetooth device. The one-of-a-kind ClimateCase preserves optimal temperature range anywhere you and your phone go.
Q: What’s the story behind ClimateCase, how did you start?
A: I invented the ClimateCase while on vacation in Arizona in 2012. Frustrated with everyone’s cell phones overheating, I began thinking about a solution to this annoying and potentially dangerous problem. When I got home, I started researching the issue and discovered that not only do cell phones overheat, they also freeze. Shocked that there was no solution available, I went to work to design a cell phone case that would not only prevent your phone from OVERHEATING, but also from FREEZING, and the ClimateCase was born.

Q: Tell us more about your cooling and heating system. How does it work? What are the benefits?
A: PREVENTS YOUR PHONE FROM OVERHEATING AND FREEZING. Our multi-layered insulating system, along with patent-pending gel technology will keep your cell phone at the optimal temperature range for hours.
RESTORES AN ALREADY OVERHEATED OR FROZEN PHONE. The ClimateCase will restore an already overheated or frozen phone in LESS THAN 60 SECONDS. There’s no other cell phone case on the market that can do that.
FITS ALL BRANDS AND MODELS OF CELL PHONES. The ClimateCase fits ALL cell phones including iPhone, Samsung, Pixel, LG, HTC, Sony, Blackberry and Motorola. It weighs only 10 oz. and it’s dimensions are 7.5” x 5” x 1”.
MACHINE WASHABLE. Simply wash your ClimateCase on the gentle cycle then dry flat. Your ClimateCase is as good as new!
HIDDEN STASH POCKET. Discretely keep valuables like cash, credit card, ID, hotel room key, etc. out of site by inserting them into the secure pocket on the back of your ClimateCase.

Q: Why is it important to protect your phone from extreme temperatures?
A: At ClimateCase, we realize that your cell phone goes with you EVERYWHERE, regardless of the temperature outside. We use our cell phones constantly to talk and text, as a navigational tool, for social media, to listen to music, to capture precious moments on camera or video, and most importantly, to be able to call for help in case of an emergency. None of these things are possible if your cell phone is overheated or frozen.

Q: What are your plans for the future?
A: We are currently in the process of developing a ClimateCase for tablets as they have the same overheating and freezing issues.
In addition, we have been offered partnerships with numerous international distributors in order to take the ClimateCase brand worldwide, and are currently in negotiations with these companies.
